Name: Fate Testarossa
Canon: Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha
Overview: Fate is the daughter of Presea Testarossa, a powerful mage who sought to ressurect her dead daughter. Unfortunately, Fate wasn't good enough for her, and she forced her unwanted second daughter to collect magical relics known as jewel seeds for the purpose of reviving her. As luck would have it, Fate encountered a girl named Takamachi Nanoha, who showed her she didn't have to follow her past. After being adopted by Nanoha's superior, Lindy Harlaown, Fate atoned for her sins and joined the Time Space Administration Bureau, a peace keeping organization dedicated to maintaining peace across multiple dimensions.
Enrollment Status: Faculty. She teaches a course on the use and study of magical tomes. Her origins and experience with the Lost Logia give her a unique perspective on them.
Species: Artificial human/homunculus
AU Overview: Fate is a magical homunculus created to replace a sorceress's dead daughter, and thus is a near perfect clone of her. In the moment of her creation, she was infused with the magical knowledge contained in a grimoire, which was part of a series known as the Lost Logia. This Logia infused her with extensive knowledge and ability regarding the use of electrical magic. She also gained the ability to generate and wield a magical weapon known as Bardiche, which has the ability to channel her magic and take multiple forms.
Since her creation, she was absued by her creator, who felt she used the wrong grimoire in creating Fate. After being used by her mother to collect more of the Lost Logia grimoires in hope of finding out that could properly ressurect the dead, Fuyuka was saved and awakened to her true nature thanks to the intervention of some other magic users. These events transpired while Fate was a child (she was "born" in a form roughly analogous to the age of ten). Fate now seeks to atone for her mother's sins, and has become an instructor in the study and use of magical tomes.
Her powers are rather analogous to Fate's in the original series. Her research into other grimoires have allowed her to form a kind of magical armor around herself that resembles ornate-looking clothes. She can augment this armor for different situations, which mimics Bardiche's ability to take multiple weapon forms. However, this requires her to draw upon the magic contained within her body to greater levels. Due to her origins, she is rather protective of children, and tries to be of service to her students whenever she can.
